March 8, 2007 - Ferrania Technolgies announced their new lines of inkjet inks and professional papers at PMA 2007 today. The dye-based Optijet inks are compatible with Canon, HP, and Epson printers, as well as some Lexmark and Dell units. No specifics on price were available at press time, but the company estimates retail costs at 20 to 70 percent less than OEM inks. Ferrania will also sell bulk inks in one-, five-, and twenty-liter packages.

Compatible with all inkjet printers, Ferrania’s Optijet Professional papers will be available in three finishes - glossy, luster, and matte - and available in sizes from 4" x 6" to 13" x 19" in packs of 25 to 100 sheets. The new papers are geared toward professional photographers, offering "a broad color gamut" at prices the maker says will be competitive.

Ferrania also announced Compatible Print Packages for Epson’s PictureMate photo printers at 45 percent less than OEM prices. Ferrania estimates that the Epson kits will produce prints at 30 cents each. The replacement kit, selling for $19.99, yields 25 percent more prints at only 16 cents per print.
