10th Jan 09 – Hewlett Packard has just released a new application for the Apple iPhone that allows for printing directly to any Wi-Fi equipped HP printer. The new software, which is available for free from the Apple’s online App Store, allows iPhone or iTouch iPod users to print 4 by 6 photos from the photos stored on the device.  After installing the software, the user can select a photo from the photo album on the device for printing, and the software will search for printers on the local network and print out a borderless 4 by 6 print of the photo. The new software cannot, however, be used to print other documents on the device, or to print at other sizes; it is restricted to 4 by 6 prints only.

More details are available from HP, or the application can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store for free.
